Barbara Nelson


Barbara Nelson is an Assistant Property Manager for Lincoln Property Company in Houston, Texas. She has worked in the Commercial Real Estate Industry for seventeen years; eleven years was spent in commercial property healthcare management assisting with managing four Medical property buildings totaling over 600,000 square feet. Barbara is experienced with processing tenant billings, A/P, tenant and corporate event coordination, new tenant move-ins and move-outs. In addition, she is experience with preparing lease abstracts, performing property inspections, meeting with vendors and contractors obtaining quotes and implementing checklists and policies for ensuring smooth portfolio wide operations. Her accounting software experience includes Yardi/P2P and MRI.

She is currently responsible for assisting with the management of two office buildings and four retail shopping centers in Houston. Barbara assists with the day-to-day operations under the supervision of the Property Manager, including tenant relations, lease administration, property transition, processing A/R, A/P, assisting in the research of special projects, and implementing new office procedures.

Barbara has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreational Administration with a Therapeutic specialty from Texas State University. To further her education in the commercial property management industry, she has completed a 32 hour “Fast Track Property Management” course from Champions School of Real Estate.  Barbara is also certified in Mid-Rise and High-Rise Buildings.
